Summer Time, fun time!

I love summer because it brings RENTON RIVER DAYS! I will be in the parade again this year -although Nephew Aaron will not. He'll be on vacation with his lovely wife and new baby! But, I will be there, singing and dancing and loving on all of the folks in Renton!

The parade is July 26, 2014 at 10 am, along 3rd Ave in Downtown Renton! I'll see you there!!

Summer Lovin'

Ahhh, those summer nights! End of school is near and Nephew Aaron and I are getting excited for summer! We're hoping to have a repeat appearance in the Renton River Days parade and looking at a new venue (we'll keep you posted)!

BEFORE THE PARADE PASSES BY

Last year, I said to Nephew Aaron, "Hey, I want us to be in the Renton River Days parade." Then, I took the necessary steps to figure out HOW to get IN to the Renton River Days parade. I didn't sit and wait, saying "Gee, I wish the folks at the Renton River Days parade would invite us to participate." Where in YOUR life are you letting the parade pass you by? Where are you sitting back, waiting to be invited when you just need to step up there and figure out how to make something happen? Don't let the parade pass you by for a single moment. Take that dream and make it happen! You can do it! 

I LOVE A PARADE!

So, we're happy that we're going to "Duck into fun!" in the Renton River Day's parade! This is the 27th year for the Renton River Day's festival and Nephew Aaron and I are thrilled to be part of the action! Parade starts at 10:00 am and runs along South 3rd Street. Great viewing in front of Renton Civic Theatre!! See you there!

ALL TOGETHER NOW

I’ve always loved the camaraderie that forms around a common idea or group of people who enjoy the same thing. After living a nomadic lifestyle most of my years; I’m SO enjoying living in Renton. I find there’s so much MORE opportunity to be part of a community! I’m a member of so many communities: the arts community; the community at the dance studio; the community in my neighborhood; the community at church; my lodge sisters at the Daughters of the Knights of Walla Wall and the City of Renton community. This weekend is Renton River Days and a chance to enjoy and celebrate the community of folks who live here in Renton, WA. Even if you don’t live close by; why not make an extra effort this weekend to enjoy YOUR community
