Revolution

I've decided this year not to have resolutions but to create my own little REVOLUTIONS! (As defined by number #3 below.) So, revolution #3. I have so many ideas; but here are the top three:
1. I want to bring POSITIVE entertainment to the world, life-affirming entertainment, family-friendly entertainment;
2. I want to SHARE the money I earn with as many visionary non-profits as I can and in order to do that;
3. I want to work to make sure that entertainers are paid fairly, all of 'em!
I think that'll do for a start! Gonna start a revolution . . . or two . . . or three . . . or more!! I don't exactly know HOW but, having a plan is a start, right? Of COURSE, right!!! Love you all!!

GET BACK

I read this gem on twitter: It's a great day to figure out what makes you happy & hold a yard sale for everything that doesn't. I’m certain the author was thinking about the PHYSICAL junk around the house but, I think this also goes for the mental JUNK that accumulates. What thoughts are you holding that don’t make you happy? Why? Get rid of ‘em! Probably no one will want them, either, so just throw those negative thoughts into the trash and replace them with something that inspires and uplifts you. When we’re children, we think positively until an adult or mean friend puts negative words into our brains! Get back to that place where you believe in yourself and know you can do anything!

Replace “I’m stupid” with “I’m always learning”. Things like that. Get out two pieces of paper. Write all your negative words on one sheet. (You'll probably notice, too, who GAVE you those negative words in the first place!)

Create a positive replacement and write it on the other sheet of paper. Next get RID of those negative thoughts and phrases and hang up that positive sheet of paper somewhere you’ll see it everyday to remind yourself of the new ways you want to think.

DIFFERENT

There’s a song that Mama Cass sings that goes like this: When I was smaller, and people were taller, I realized that I was different . . . How many of you feel that way? Feel like you are always the odd man out? I’m here to say, that’s okay. Did you see yesterday’s video that I posted? Most of the people who’ve done the most good in our world; who’ve made huge positive impacts have been labeled “different” at one time or another, I’m certain of it! If the part of you that makes you different is also the part that is going to change the world for good, then keep on being different! I love and support you! Stand tall, head high! Go on out and be the positive change you want to see in this world! xoxo

THINKING

Everyone has an internal dialogue; those things we say to ourselves over and over and over and over and . . . you get the picture! What are those repeated words and phrases? Do you tell yourself good, encouraging things to build yourself up and to help you approach life with a positive attitude? Or do you tell yourself discouraging things? Think about it. If it isn’t something you’d say to your best friend to lift them up; then why are you saying it to yourself? Please, be kind to yourself . . .
